Since September 2017 Kinnoull Primary School has been involved with Living Streets. Living Streets encourages children to travel to school in a more healthy and active way. There are many benefits from traveling actively to school, such as having less pollution around our environment, becoming more healthy and active kids along with less cars parked around our school, therefore preventing crowded streets.
A large number of our school have become more active when coming to school. Parents have been involved with Living Streets and from the recent survey we sent out we had a number of positive comments, for example:
It’s a good incentive for kids and parents to walk and become healthier day to day. We play games while walking to and from school to make it more fun.
My children love to receive the badges.
My child used to dislike walking to school but since the recognition of badge and being healthy he wants to walk every day.
