 Kinnoull School Council

A better name for the Kinnoull School Council is the Kinnoull School Forum. The council meets around once a term and is a forum for parents, carers and teachers to mix and discuss issues concerning the school. There are four elected members (i.e. the secretary, treasurer, deputy chairman and chairman) but their only role is to organise the ‘forum’ and the ‘important’ views at the meetings are those of the parents and carers. You do not need to be individually invited because all parents and carers are automatically members of the Council and you will be welcomed enthusiastically to all meetings.

The main functions of the School Council are to:

  • ï‚· support the school in its work with pupils and parents
  • ï‚· represent the views of parents
  • ï‚· promote communication between the school, parents, pupils, the community, and other providers.
